Luff Orthodontics – located in Anchorage – provides patients with high quality orthodontic care in a warm and caring environment. We are committed to providing compassionate and personalized care to patients of all ages. Our office is a family friendly orthodontics practice offering the latest techniques for fast, efficient orthodontic treatment. We specialize in Invisalign as well as metal and clear braces.
Our orthodontist, Dr. Richard Luff and the rest of our experienced staff will provide you with the individualized attention that you deserve. We are always happy to answer questions to help you find the right solution for you. We are happy to treat you with either braces, retainers, or Invisalign trays. Plus, we are members of the Alaska State Dental Society and American Association of Orthodontists so you know that you can count on us!
Meet Our Doctors
Dr. Richard Luff grew up in southern Idaho. He earned a BA from Utah State before moving to Columbus, Ohio to attend dental school at The Ohio State University. He graduated from dental school at the top of his class and received numerous awards for his accomplishments in patient care and academics. Following dental school, Dr. Luff joined the United States Air Force as a captain in the dental corps. He attended the Advanced Education in General Dentistry Residency at Elmendorf AFB Hospital where he again graduated top of his class. He spent the first three years of his four-year tour on Elmendorf AFB caring for the dental needs of the military men and women of Alaska. After completing his tour with the Air Force, Dr. Luff attended the University of Louisville in Kentucky for a two-year residency in orthodontics and dentofacial orthopedics. Upon completion of his degree in orthodontics, Dr. Luff returned to Alaska, fulfilling a childhood dream to live in Alaska and providing a homecoming for his Alaskan wife.
Dr. Luff, his wife Lori, and their two children, Avery and Clyde, are very excited to be back home in Alaska. Dr. Luff is equally excited to join the Luff team and do what he loves most, create beautiful smiles for his patients. In his free time you can usually find him ice climbing the Chugach and camping with his family.
Meet Our Staff
Alyssa is an incredibly skilled assistant and technician. She received certification in dental assisting at UAA. She is fantastic at keeping appointments comfortable, and appropriately brief. She knows a ton about orthodontics so don’t hesitate to ask her if you have questions about your braces or appliances. She also performs orthodontic lab work when necessary. Alyssa is a fan of comedy, which explains her great sense of humor. She also enjoys binge watching quality television shows, staying warm and cozy on those super cold winter days we get here in Alaska.
Sara is a chair side assistant and technician. She is incredibly enthusiastic and motivated to provide you the best experience possible at each of your appointments. She has a bachelors degree in Speech Pathology/Audiology from BYU as well as a certificate in Orthodontic Assisting- technique and theory, from the Academy of Orthodontic Assisting. Sara is very active outside of work. She loves sports and outdoor recreation such as hiking and camping.
